Pissed Off Yam is…EPICALLY PISSED OFF!
I have been awaiting a parcel today of random American sodas to try and cheer myself up….including the soda for my colour deaf flatmate.
I specifically ordered it so it so it would arrive yesterday, but when it had not arrived late afternoon I’d chased it up and apparently the delivery vehicle had broken down. so it would be delivered by noon today.
I got an email this morning saying that the parcel would be here between 1007 and 1107hrs and so I watched Saturday Kitchen and waited for the parcel.
It never arrived…so I went to the DPD (the courier) website and put in tracking details to find my parcel had gone out….but I could not be found and directions were required…so my parcel was not being delivered today.
I called up DPD to see what was going on….it took me 3 separate phone calls to get the system to accept the tracking code. I had to traverse the computer system they had, which disconnected me when I said a parcel had not arrived (nice huh?) and I also tried phoneing the company I’d purchased from and they were out of office.
So the third time, I finally got through to a human voice at DPD, and the driver’s GPS had died and so she couldn’t find where I lived and was going back to the depot. I mentioned that this was the second day…and this is where things are getting a little odd.
Apparently my parcel would not have been delivered yesterday as it was only picked up yesterday…there was no breakdown as I’d been told.
So, now my soda will not be here until Monday…apparently.
Looks like I need to call the company I purchased the soda from on Monday about yesterday though…just ever so slightly pissed off about this.
